Meet your guides

Aaron Millon

My name is Aaron Millon and I am the captain and owner of the Sea What Happens, the 22’ Grady White Center Console you will be on when you book with us. Most of my boating experience took place on the ice-cold waters of Penobscot Bay in Maine. I’m excited to be fishing and exploring the warm, deep waters of western Puerto Rico, and bringing people on charters to do the same. I’ve worked as a cook, chef, and restaurant owner for many years and, taking a specific passion for saltwater areas, my wife and I had the opportunity to switch gears and move to this enchanted island. Hence was born Insurgent Cuisine and Fishing Charters.

The ocean is a big part of the sense of well-being in my life. I am a new Captain having received my OUVP/Six-Pack License in February 2024. I have learned more about water, captaining a vessel, and fishing in the last 2 years than in the previous 48 years of my life. But to get on the big fish, I have Vladimir Sanchez…

Vladimir Sanchez

Vladimir has been navigating and fishing the waters of western Puerto Rico since he was a young boy. Yep, he was that 13-year-old in good chop, in the middle of the ocean in a traditional 13’ wooden boat, happy as a clam! Today, he shares his passion and knowledge about the seas and fish (and his unbelievable fish-catching abilities) on board the Sea What Happens. He’s one of a kind — an ocean-whisperer some might say.

The Sea What Happens

Sea What Happens is a 1988 22’ Grady White Center Console boat. She harnesses the power of twin Yamaha 115 HP outboards that get you where you are going efficiently. Vladimir Sanchez rebuilt the boat himself and is the company’s boat mechanic, fiberglass expert, and technician. She features a Simrad NSX chart plotter and fishfinder, paired with a halo imaging radar system to ensure a safe trip and to put us right on the big fish.

In all seriousness, less is more. It’s helpful to have a hat, sunglasses, and a long-sleeve SPF shirt for sun protection. And put on that reef-safe sunscreen ahead of time! A small bag with essentials (think phone, keys, small towel, etc) can be tucked safely underneath the seats. If you bring additional food/beverages, we can load them in a cooler for you.

If you have questions, reach out! We want to help ensure you have what you need!

  • Safety is our number one priority. We respect the ocean and know her power.

Our team monitors the marine channels, buoys, and warning systems closely and will make the necessary call to keep everyone safe. Some scenarios below:

•• Charter can’t go out at all: If it is unsafe to go out on the water, we will notify you ASAP and discuss rescheduling. If rescheduling isn’t possible, we will give a full refund.

•• Charter is shortened due to weather/sea conditions: If we encounter rough conditions out at sea, our crew will determine whether to head to a different location and/or come in. In the instance where we come in early, we will determine a prorated amount to refund to you.

•• A participant is seasick: It happens. And we figure it out together. If someone is not feeling well due to motion sickness, we will poll the group. If the majority of your group votes to return to land, we will. In this instance, no refund will be given.
